Company Culture
core values
One: Excellence
A tree is known by its fruit. My standard is excellence. In every area, I will offer you my best work, and will also encourage you to adopt a standard of excellence. Why would you waste your effort on anything that was less than your best? In Philippians 4:8, it says, “Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.” Together we will seek that which is excellent.
Two: Enthusiasm
When we work together, I will bring a contagious spirit of positivity and enthusiasm. As a writer, my words will invite you into the story. As a speaker, I will offer my insight through my life experiences with humor and a heartfelt connection. As an editor, we will work together to give new life to your words. “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as though you were working for the Lord and not for people.” (Colossians 3:23) Live life to the fullest and give the world your very best.
Three: Integrity
As a Christian woman entrepreneur, I am called to the highest standard of integrity in all I do – as a writer, speaker and editor. Because of this standard, the areas where I work are narrowed to those that will not compromise my belief system. I may not be a good fit for everyone, but if you are looking for a person of integrity to partner with, let’s talk. “May integrity and uprightness protect me, because my hope, Lord, is in you.” (Psalm 25:21)
Four: Creativity
We were created with an imagination and unique gifts. Creativity is a right brain activity. Your work as a writer is filled with creativity, so a scientific analytical approach to the writing process is usually not a good fit because your story is not a widget. Where my creativity and yours meet, something better will emerge. “Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us.” (Ephesians 3:20) Your creativity makes your work unique and brings it to life.
Five: Honesty
If you are my client, I will not tickle your ears. I will be honest with you and help you create a strategy to resolve a problem or overcome an obstacle. Honesty is not a dead end but an open door to a better resolution. “And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” (John 8:32) A better path awaits after an honest evaluation.
