Here's something I read (yes, I'm constantly reading) on a blog the other day. I took a moment to consider my deep connection with books. What about you?
"Sometimes I like to carry my favorite books around with me in my bag even if I don't intend to read them. It's as if the ideas will seep into my body somehow and influence my thinking or mood. It's like having a friend with you all the time, someone who you can learn from or who doesn't question your way of viewing the world. Or sometimes it's because I like looking at them."

READING DOES A BODY GOOD!
As a writer, one of the benefits is doing a lot of reading. Reading is my favorite pastime and often I have a stack of books next to my bed.
Suzanne Beecher, from the Dear Reader online book club (8.10.09) had this amazing statistic:
"Research conducted by Mindlab International discovered that reading works better and faster than other methods to calm frazzled nerves such as listening to music, going for a walk, or settling down with a cup of tea.
"Reading is the best way to relax, and even six minutes can be enough to reduce the stress levels by more than two-thirds or 68 percent."
This sounds like a recipe for success to me.
